Since graduating from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and Community  Planning in 1980, I have acquired professional and personal experience  to help individuals who come with overwhelming feelings of helplessness, depression, and anxiety.  When an individual feels hopelessly overwhelmed and suffers anxiety or depression

I work  proactively using brief therapies to help the individual, get rid of false beliefs, and shift his or her thinking, with the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We focus on life today and the immediate problem, on specific problems or patterns of behavior that are dysfunctional, and to explore new ways to think and act. The goal is to improve the client's perception of self, others, and the world as it is.

I do not accept insurance, however, I have a sliding scale negotiated with the client and I see family members of active military pro bono. For clients who are home-bound for any reason from agoraphobia to having the role of sole caretaker of a relative at home, therapy can be delivered using skype, on-line. Please visit www.mdlcsw-c.com for details.

Longing to know your heart, your soul? Want to break through your inhibitions and reconnect to your genuine, vibrant, loving  core self?  Then let's join forces and begin -  together we'll work hard, succeed in making personal changes,  and celebrate with laughter.

Allow me the privilege of helping you transform your life by jointly activating the healing wisdom of your soul, freeing you to experience Joy, Vitality and full Self Expression.

I employ precise, down-to-earth techniques integrating body, brain, soul, heart and human connection. These innovative techniques draw upon Attachment-Based Psychodynamic Theory, Neuroscience and Bio-physiology and have been shown to produce swift and lasting results. My clients often report a feeling of hope and momentum even after the first session!

Post graduate trainings in EMDR, Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and NLP allow me to rapidly and effectively work with depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, trauma, body image and relationship challenges. I have lived in Europe, am familiar with and sensitive to cross cultural issues and speak German, Spanish and French.
